Mounting Pump Upside Down?

Hey, I was planning on getting a new gaming rig spring 2009, by then I'll most likely have the money. Anyway's, I was going to watercool it. I'd have a E8400, and a HIS 4870. I'd be using the D-Tec v2 Waterblock, and a EK 4870 Full GPU Block.

Here's what I planned on doing. I plan on using the Swiftech MC655 Pump, powerful, and very reliable, great ratings, and the Black Ice GTX 240 Rad, Tygon 1/2" ID tubing, and a T-Line, no Res.

I'm going to use the Lian Li PC-8 case, and have the T-Line and Pump hidden beside the PSU, hidden behind the cover thing that voders the whole top of the inside of the case. Anyways, would mounting the Swiftech MC655 pump upside-down affect the flow, ruin, damage, make the pump want to leak, make the startup messed up or anything? Will mounting it upside down do any damage to the pump, or affect anything else, or make it prone to leaks?

Thanks! :)

As it is a presureised system the pump should be fine mounted any way possible however the bearings of the motor will receive more wear if they are mounted any other way other than flat (which for that pump I believe would be on its side). This extra wear is still such a small difference with modern motor technology that we as enthusiasts can ignore it but manufacturers will as they need to guarantee things.

My only concern with it is you filling the system. If you do not route the tubes correctly the motor won't receive the coolant and run dry. If you've sorted that then have fun with your new WC setup :yumyum:
