Just need to select some RAM and a case, Tis only a ATX motherboard, so i'm pretty free as to what i can use case wise. Ram wise, its DDR2 FBD ram, scan dont even sell it, anyone know of any good prices on the net. looking for about 4gb to start with.

just been bidding on 2 xeon 3ghz on ebay, but only won one of them :< :< :< some bugger outbid in the last seconds :<

What friggin use is one to me!!!!! i very much doubt i'll be able to find another the same :S

Sweet list of parts dude, this build is going to be so sweet.

Did you get the one you won at a good deal? If so then maybe you saved enough to just buy the other one retail?

Pix when u get stuff in!

o and it wasnt the woodcrest core either. Figured i've never be able to afford it.

ahhh dangit! did u at least get dual core? the only thing that really interests me about multi proc systems these days is the ability to have 4+ cores.

yeah, dont think i will be going ahead with winning ebay auction. Suppose i will get a neg comment. i cant afford to buy anything as my holiday is less than 3 weeks away.

I'm looking at building a similar system with 2 Xeons and a 5000X chipset. I noticed in some of the reviews of these motherboards at Newegg that they're a bit bigger than usual and there have been fitment problems with some cases. Keep that in mind when you look at cases. If I go through with the dual Xeon thing, I'll probably get a Supermicro board and case to be sure it'll fit. I used to have a BX-chipset Supermicro motherboard way back when and have wanted to build another computer around one of their boards ever since. Nice stuff!
