well as usual i was messing around inside my case and then bang, it turned off i shat myself so much :o , so i cut the power to the powersupply. tried to switch it back on but no didnt work... ok so i started shitting my pants seriously and then i thought ok ill reset CMOS, so yes i did and it booted up fine.... i think the powersupply short circuited and shut down when a metal 3pin connector hit my drive bay ...

phewww anyway yeah oh yeah and also i accidentally cut the fan wire for the psu lol but it still works :)

I've had a few expereinces like that in the past. But whenever mine went "BANG" the computer was knackered.

I've never fked up with my PSU but, my friend plugged in a CD-ROM when the PC was on and his Enermax 465w latched down.

The other day I unplugged a speaker and my comp reset itself. Just like that. Now I thought that was weird!!

Well glad your comp aint screwed mate. We should really learn not to fiddle while our PC's are on eh? ;)

What a dumbass... rofl, that should be rule #1; Never plug anything in while ur comuter is on, lol.

yesterday the old keymouse didnt wrok changed with the logitech while it was , who cares, it is my parents not mine :D :p

search the archives and i had a similar story.....be careful, my psu worked fine for another week then finally blew.

PSU's are dangerous things. My Tagan 480w blew up, not only melting itself, but also killing my DFI motherboard. Twas a sad day for me :(

someone i know thought it would be funny to put a PSU to 110v DC and plug it in, and it went BOOM lol literally, then it got thrown out of a second story window before it "blew up" when it hit the floor lol

As kempez and XMS have said previously, you ned to remember that you are dealing with potentially dangerous voltages with a PSU. If you're gonna fiddle with your computer turn it off. You only need like a 0.1A shock to initiate arhythmia in your heart, and have it stop. Caution is warranted here :)

talking about high voltages , once when the washin machine was open a nut fell from the fittings, i saw it it was amongst a number of wires whice came from the main. i asked wheter it was off, he said it was off. i touched them fuck my whole arm stiifened and i jumped 30cm in to the air , he said that the washing machine was off not the mains connection :o

I touched an electric fence.. Stupid really..

"I wonder if this is electric?"

Grabbed onto it.. yes.. grabbed..

Boom!

Just try and keep the conversation on track here guys pls, remember the topic is about PSU's and computers.

Thanks-PV
