More of a bottleneck?

Point of interest: Benchmarks tend to be made to scale very well in SLI / X-Fire due to their very nature, Games on the other hand not so much. Don't get me wrong I'm very very happy with my 2x 680's just as I was very happy with my 2x 570's before - they made a HUGE difference to my gaming experience.

While 2x 660's would doubtless be a great performer, I too would be more inclined to go for a single 670 at this time, giving me the option to double up later. It depends on what you want and prices for the various hardware at the time of purchase.

I will say though that with my 2500k at a fairly modest 4.6ghz pretty much every graphical benchmark is quite heavily CPU bound, as is Crysis 3. Showing that a pair of cards needs to be backed up by a good CPU. Things that thread well really leap ahead with a 3930k powering two 680's. For a single 670 this won't be an issue and with two 660's I'd also expect it not to be an issue. Just something to consider...pick whatever you think meets your needs the best OP, a pair of 660's is certainly an attractive option, if the price is right.

Scoob.
