Monitor Issue LG W2261VP

Hi Guys,

Wondering if you can help me with an issue?

I have the LG W2261VP Monitor which I purchased from Ebuyer way back in 2010, and to be fair it's never caused me any issues.

In the last couple of days I've noticed an issue, that when I'm powering up my PC, I should be seeing a solid red light to tell me that the monitor is on, of it aint I swipe my finger on the power to hopfully turn it on.
But nothing happens!!

I run a surge protector, and I moved the plugs around on the protector switch on, I then have a red light when powering the PC up, but then the light went off.

Assuming a Surge Issue, I purchased another Power Surge Protector and tried, it appeard to be fine, then the same issue happend.

But when swapping the plugs around on the sruge for another time things where working ok?

Can anyone shed any light on this?

What happens if you just plug it into the wall?

Sometimes the "light" would come on, then Id have to swap the plugs around to get the Light to Stay on. Was speaking to LG Live Chat the other day and told me that the PCB Is failing on the Monitor?
