molex hub ?

Im basicaly looking for a Hub that has several molex inputs and maybe a usb output for example. The reason being i want to use a few cathodes outside of the actual computer underneath my desk , and maybe a few fans at the back of the shelfing where i keep my 360.

Now running bare wireing all over the place just looks messy and soldering cables to extend them seems like a lot of effort.

Is there such a device ? or have any of you any other suggestions ?.

I haven't seen anything like that, but might be interested. Am thinking of making a laptop stand W/ fans and maybe cathode tubes.

Soldering isn't all that hard, and putting wires together is one of the easier aspects. It's always good to learn a new skill.

I agree with you there, but a factory made hub is allways going to look better than my mock up attempt. The main problem is i dont really want to run the cables from inside my system , mainly for the fact that more cables means more mess ( im a complete tidy freak when it comes to cables ). Allso adding say 3 or 4 more extra cathodes or fans to the powersupply isnt a major problem, but its not as practical or cosmeticly appealing as running a single usb cable straight from the exterior usb sockets and sticking the hub to the underside of the desk.

If all else fails ill go with the solder method, hopefully some heatshrink and cable tidy will make things a bit more tidyer.

Oh, you could defiantly make it look neat, my plan was going to utilise an old PSU. Bolt it under my desk at home.

Using USB might be a problem. I forget the voltages, but it's not huge. 5V i think. You might need to use a few of your slots.

Great idea Pseudonym , i dont know why i didnt think of that, couldnt get much more simple
