Mobile Broadband in the UK

As the title suggests, I am looking for a good mobile broadband service provider in the UK. This is because the school I am going to, has alot of filtering on their internet, which I am against, so i don't want to use the provided WiFi.

Does anybody know a good provider (price, speed, and data limits are important). If you know, what package do you recommend.

This mobile broadband is to be used with a USB dongle to my laptop, for gaming and everyday usage.

It's for porn really isn't it & that's why you can't use the provided WiFi.

If it's to be used just while at uni I'd consider a VPN service instead, you end up cheaper and for gaming you should have better ping. Try Hotspot Shield, there is a free version supported by ads.

I've had O2 mobile broadband before, did the job, used to play Crysis 2 Multiplayer through it and it did the job. Didn't each much data doing so either.

o2 coverage at least in Scotland is terrible, i just moved to EE (tmobile) great coverage and nice speeds.

3, being built for internet seems a very good option

I've not long come from a 3 mobile usb dongle and was paying £16 for 15GB a month (~500mb a day)

3 Dongle

I had the other (older) version of the dongle and had no problems with it, but I suggest you check the coverage that 3 have and see if you are in the right area.....
My download speeds on the 3 network were between 8-10 Mbps (actual download high of 1.0 MB/s give or take)

When I used to use my T Mobile dongle you could opt to pay daily £2 I think it was for 500mb, for Youtube videos, music, and the like, but for general browsing it was for the full day. I could sit using it for a full day, and not ever reach a fair usage limit.

My phone has umlimited data so i normally just tether from there, getting around 500 kb/s download.
