Mini Desktop PC Build Advice

Hey dudes, you guys have helped me before, so I might ask for some more help again...

My old gaming rig is now being used as a family computer and I think the levels of hardware and power which it possesses are not necessary for its purpose.

So I want to build a mini desktop PC, either Mini-ITX or Micro-ATX, but I dont have a clue where to start....

I want the PC to be small, quiet and cheap (<£400 preferably). Power is not really a priority, but I do want to put a separate graphics card inside (albeit a very dated one).

Can anyone recommend me:

1. A suitable motherboard and processor.

2. A suitable case for said motherboard.

3. A suitable graphics card and power supply.

Thanks for the help

comes to £393ish but do you need ram and a hard drive as you did not put that down?

So you think going down the Micro ATX / Mini ITX route is a bad idea? I had always considered just making a normal ATX PC in a small case, but the space I have would suit a HTPC really well if you get me.

I have a stack of 5 or so 1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3's which I bought for £29.99 each before they got expensive.... Best buy ever!

No m-atx does it job if thats all you need, i did put up a m-atx mobo

it really depends on the space you have, that mobo would even allow for an sli setup but would need a different psu
