Microsoft Windows 9 event later this month!

Microsoft plans to formally introduce its next-generation Windows 9 operating system in an event that will take place on the 30th of September, 2014.

It will be interesting to see what they do but the leaks that have happened are not making me want to buy it.

The only thing that I hate more than Windows 8 (and I despise it with the heat of a million stars) is Chromefox. Or Firechrome.

8.1 is great in my experience. Then again I don't use metro and I have the EU version, which comes without the lockdown stuff.

I have 8.1 and don't find any problems with it, ok it takes a little to setup but once done it's no different to using win 7
As it only cost £20 I can't complain about price

I just jumped from 7 to 8.1 Update 1. Impressed so far, if you just think of the Metro thing as a glorified start menu.

My metro is literally a link to the desktop, nothing else.
