During the Build Windows conference, Microsoft has announced that they want to make Windows 10 run reworked Android and iOS apps. That's right, you might be able to play Clash of Clans on your Windows-powered PC in the future.

Oh god, IMO we don't need mobile apps for a Desktop OS

But it is still a very solid move from Microsoft. Keep in mind Windows 10 and its phone version will basically be the same, meaning that you can use both mobile, and desktop apps on pretty much any device that runs Windows (also laptops, tablets and convertibles).

And then it also runs Android and iOS apps and suddenly everything works cross-platform while Google and Apple are still busy locking everyone out, Microsoft took the plunge to take everyone else into their own ecosystem and I definitely applaud that.

Keep it only on mobile or at least allow the people who don't want it to turn it out

Erh it's just like every other Windows function mate, you don't like it, you simply don't use it. No need to remove it from Windows completely just because some people don't see the point ;)
