WOW

I just re-installed Vista on the 2nd PC and Windows Vista help was actually helpful!!11!!

It found that no ICH9 driver was installed, looked for the driver and then linked straight to the driver package on Intels site server. One click, download and bam, installed drivers

Good work MS:o

Careful of this "news leak" mate other wise word might get out. ;) MS and help are not often banded in the same sentence

I find a few things helpful in Vista but most of the time its just damn annoying.

For instance I hate it when Vista trys to be clever installing drivers automatically but then you realise its installed the wrong bloody ones!

Du mean helpful?

I normally find myself saying "Help, MS killed my PC!" quite a lot :D

that is a saying i seem to use a lot recently!

I dont mind vista, besides, fresh install = faffing about for about 3 hours to turn off most of its features and check everythings ok. Got that down to a "T" now. :D

Installed the latest Intel ICH9 on the X38 - every single problem that came up after that (mostly concerning oc`ing) it wanted to download "new chipset drivers". Let it once and it did older ones than I had and the problem was still there. (was me needing more mch for 4 mem strips)

False positive.

The `update` want`s me to install older network drivers too.

Vista > all

At driver and finding anything that you need for you, although I had a problem with soundcard drivers lol.

I installed Vista, clicked update Windows.... About 20mins later, all mobo, graphics etc... Drivers installed :D.

I take my hat off to Vista!!:wavey:
