Microphone Playing back through headphones

using on board AC97 and havening the problem on my mic playing back trough my headphones and sound not recording on sound recorder tryed reinstalling the drivers with out any luck

suggestions please

options, properties

in playback, tick the microphone box, click ok and tick the mute box under microphone

options, properties again

this time select recording options, and tick the "select" box under microphone in there

Yeah he told me its sorted - now u dont have an excuse to get a soundcard - functionality wise
