Mice...

Cant decide on what to do, mice wise...

Currently have a microsoft intelli explorer 3 - which is a fine mouse, just a bit slow...

I used to have a razer copperhead, before i lost my temper and broke it  - but i dont want another of those, as it had problems with one or two games, and the drivers were a little memory greedy (not the mention i HATE usb mice)

So, usb as a last resort, id prefer ps2 - are they any good mice (as in faster than my current) out there? (that will run on ps2, i have a usb to ps2 adapter btw - but it has to work fine without drivers!)

Cheers

Just out of interest why don't you like usb? You can overclock a USB port which can give a big improvement with some mice :D

If you want a mouse to do all that then I would suggest sticking with the one you have as most mice just don't work as well without their own drivers instaled and most are USB

Problem with USB mice is, they tend to be a bit "iffy" (as in, sometimes work, sometimes dont - especially in the dos app "boot it")

I have gone through countless keybaords, I can't even buy a Siatek Eclipse II Because I can get very VERY mad at games (I suck) but i have had my mouse for 4 years, still very good :)

There should be a USB legasy option in your bios. Ive used nothing but USB inputs for a while now and no problems at all.

Perhaps you should invest in some anger management classes next time you contemplate purchasing a keyboard :p

I picked my current one out specially, 5$ at wal-mart, Rock solid construction bebe! Hit this thing countless times and its still working, although i lost my caps lock key for a few weeks, cause me all sorts of problems in bf2...and my mute button on the media bar thingy doesnt work.

hehe using a USB G15 keyboard to do dos stuff is fun, u can`t see the freakin keys!

Always keep a ps2 keyboard and mouse handy for those peoples mobos that act up USB wize.

Modern stuff tho, USB works really well. (haven`t tried the clock modding stuff)
