Mic no worky

Hello. Can anyone help me get my mic working?
In the Realtek audio manager the pink socket is greyed out and in microphone properties it says "front panel 3.5mm jack" under jack info. I don't have a front port :S

Assume it's something silly as I'm not normally a Windows guy.

Any help Is appreciated!

Is there an option to change it from front panel to rear? i had that issue on my asus dgx.

You picture is really small and I can't really see anything on it but try setting the 'Microphone' or 'Line in' to Default.
