Memory Overclocks

Heya,

So I've recently done a bit of tweaking to my system, and I've ended up with the following:

4790k @ 4.8Ghz with the Uncore at 4.6Ghz

Avexir 2133Mhz CL9-11-10-27 1T overclocked to 2800Mhz CL11 - 14 - 14 - 36 - 2T

This Avexir doesn't like to tighten timings, so wondering if what I have the 2800 timings at are pretty good? or should I switch back to 2133 CL9?

I've had this RAM at 3000Mhz, but will need to tweak some system voltages.

Other than with AMD APUs, I haven't noticed a difference OCing from 1600mhz to 2400mhz. I haven't even seen a difference in benchmarks or 7zip.

Apparently there are a couple games, like the new Doom, that benefit from higher memory speeds at higher refresh rates.

Then again, if you like the big numbers, go for it I say! I liked having 2400mhz ram. Currently, I've switched to running at stock speeds and undervolting the ram. On my previous (and super crappy) motherboard, it let me get my CPU overclock slightly higher. Whether or not it would help you with your CPU overclock, I don't know.

The newer CPU's prefer bandwidth over the latency timings dude.

Open up the cache on the CPU too if you want to get the full effect
