Memory Bottleneck gaming?

Hey guys, ive been playing BF3 and BFBC2, i play both games maxed out.. my rig is:

Motherboard: M5A78L-M/USB3

CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250 (2 CPUs)3.0Ghz OC 3.750Ghz

GPU: HD 5770 1Gb New Edition

RAM: DDR3 2Gb 1333 standard ram.

PSU: 600W NOX APEX

HD: SAMSUNG HD322HJ ATA

But the problem is this, If i max out all settings (res-1440x900) ill get on BFBC2 min FPS 28 and max 41.

If i put the settings all on low and even if i change the (res) to 1024x768 ill get the same framerate. What is going one here. o.O Could it be insufficient RAM? btw i didnt clock the ram. only the CPU.

Could it be the CPU bottlenecking the GPU?

help :S

Resolution puts a higher strain on the gpu and cpu than character details and such. So even if every detail was set to low the game would still struggle and higher resolutions.

The specs you have listed are more of a mid range computer, that's probably why trying to play the game at max settings with a high resolution its having frame drops as the game is too intensive for your computer.

I mean the memory could be an issue but unless you had multiple programs running in the background while trying to play BF3 and BC2, it wouldn't be a major factor.

Try lowering or turning off the less important details such as high water quality or high tree quality and leave the character details and such on high/medium then gradually increase the resolution and see what the best smooth one for you is.

ive dont that on bfbc2.. ive only got like, 3/5 fps increase with all on low and with a lower resolution. this is more on BFBC2 because on BF3 the fps pump up realy high.

what i did was.. i maxed out the game and got 28min Fps and 45Max. then i put everything on low. lol everything and the resolution at its lowest and i only saw a 3 to 5 fps increase. my BFBC2 game is oficial tho. :S
