Memorable PC games

Duke Nukem: Mahnattan Project which I recently purchased again on steam as I lost the original copy which I had like 10 years ago.

If anyone can remember far enough back, my earliest memories of PC gaming are with the (very) old Sierra adventure games from the '80s. Most memorable though has to be System Shock 2, a true classic and I still find myself playing it today and finding it still stands up well with more modern games.

Phantasmagoria 1 and 2. Tex Murphy games. Original GTA. Original Toca games which lagged like hell on 166mhz.

some I remember and enjoyed

Harrier Attack (Amstrad cpc464 on a cassette tape )
Gryzor
Silent service II
Populous original
Populous 2

Oh jeeze, so many!

My first ever PC games were in a collection box of Theme Park World, System Shock 2 and something else that I can't remember, I then moved onto Theme Hospital, The Sims, then the next jump was when my brother in law bought a new PC and he played Aliens vs. Predator 2, Max Payne etc, but then you can move up another era to CoD, Far Cry, there are just so many at different stages! Vietcong haha that was awesome too, and watching him play The Thing, and Mafia! Ohhhh!

Edit: If you can include consoles my brother in law had an N64 so I used to love Goldeneye, Perfect Dark (the multiplayer side) road rash or was it road race? Smacking people on bikes with a bannana lol. WWF Wrestlemania 2000, WWF No Mercy. I had a PS1, Medieval, Tarzan, WWF Smackdown, I can't even be bothered naming them all lol.

Yes!!loved TA: Kingdoms. Other big games for me included Battlefield 2 (So many hours on that game), Command and conquer red alert 2 and The first time i dove into the World of Warcraft (Haven't played it in around 5-6 years now, waiting for wildstar ;) )

Silent Service II - played on Amiga 500, Amiga 1200 and then AT, 286 and 386 :D - hours of "Yamato" hunting

+1 I can remember the first time I played that at my cousins house on his Atari. I had a CoCo2 at the time. I played Sub Battle Simulator.

When I stepped up to my first PC, a Laser Turbo XT, I had to get Microprose F19 Stealth Fighter and LXI Attach Chopper.

Dad was a fishing nut and used to play this during times he couldn't fish... loved it so much but he rarely gave me a turn back in those days xD

Loved this game. I played through it several times with all the different classes a good few years ago.

It's pretty old, but has aged well IMO (uses the source engine) and buggy, but community patches and mods have pretty much totally fixed it. It's the only game I know of so-far to get the whole Vampire thing right really. Speaking of which, I must go back and play it again. ^_^

I remember playing with mates at Sega bass fishing, with a reel type thing. It was crazy! :P

You want the True Patch Gold Edition. It's what I used when I played it 2 (?) years back. I'd link it here, but its author has created quite a few nude skins for the game too so yeah, google it instead. :p
