Hi,

I want to do about 8hrs of orthos to make sure my computer is stable, but i am not sure exactly how high i can let my temps go, heres my current about 5min into orthos :S I also should not, I have to have high volts for stabilty, its the only way i know to prevent my random lockups :)

65°C is the MAXMAX safe temp for C2D imo

Anything higher you should clock down or upgrade cooling

To be honest I wouldn't be happy if my CPU went over 40oC :p

I recommend you upgrade your cooling, matey!

What are you running on at the moment?

I only have a zalman 9500, I've been thinking about something better, but i am sick of meh 14fps in games. Therefor new vid card take priority. But i did manage to do 5hrs of orthos last night and never saw the temps jump above 65c just quickly browsing tat :D But, I am willing to upgrade my cooling, just not sure what i can get for around $30. Any sugestions woould be welcome.

Just thought i would post what i did last night shortly after posting this :) Now i know its not the longest orthos, but the truth is, the longest i played a game for is 4hrs, and that was a long *** CoH match. But as far as i am concerned my pc is stable :D
