Manufactures, Y U tease us?

I slapped it in to Photoshop and changed to what I think looks better. Do I like it? NO! I think it looks better though.

EDIT: I played more after getting rid of the yellow connectors. Tried changing the color of the gold this time.

Now if Asus released that colour I would consider giving them my monies.

OMG.... IT'S GONNA BLO...

Oh wait, it's water proof

Can't see the reasoning behind this though, I don't plan on taking my PC in the bath with me anytime soon.

Extreme cooling methods maybe, or otherwise for people who want to watercool and are afraid of leaks

Are ASUS colour blind? At least on the pictures that does not look like Gold at all, but much more
like champagne, at least to me. The ECS one, that actually does look more or less like Gold.

Anyway, I don't really mind it that much, it actually might look pretty nice with the right
colour coordination. I remember some people moaning about the Sabertooth's colours when they
came out and there have been some pretty nice builds with those IMO. So I shall wait and see.
I do think it's good that they're doing something different though. Even if they fail at some attempts,
in the long run we should see a better selection of available colour choices.

@ FredEx: Nice job! :)

On a side note: It's still miles above EVGA's salmon pink SR-X IMHO :p

Yeah I'd think a waterproof M/B would be quite well suited for LN2, dry ice and all that stuff
since you don't have to worry as much about condensation.

I once did an internship at a AAA gun manufacturer, and they had their own PCB manufacturing
facility. Every PCB they made went through a coating process. Completely waterproof,
totally awesome (well, you still have to protect the connections after mounting it, but you
get the idea).

It does look a bit more gold in the vid I'd say. Maybe the product pics are just a bit overexposed.

Ah well, wait and see. I'm not going for one anyway, my SR-2 will probably still be good for a little
while.

If they made them in this colour scheme, I'd have one. (might have something to do with it matching my current colour scheme ^_^) I agree with everyone else, gold doesn't work and is definitely reminiscent of 2001.

ARGH MY EYES. MAKE IT GO AWAY  Ahh, much better..

Hmmm, I agree with you guys. Gold just doesn't look right on a motherboard.

Yes it does when it's done properly. It's all about knowing when to stop, so if it's just accents it looks fine. My GPUs are black and gold and they're done properly, as is, IMO, my motherboard.

It's when you try and make it blingy, and not tasteful, that it ends up looking like something a rapper would hang from his neck.

I wanted to join in on the PhotoSoup fun. Made one with white accents, grey accents and black accents. Also in red, green and blue.

Forgive the quick PhotoSouping:

I commented on Maximum PC's Facebook when they asked what people thought of the board. Most are loving it. My negative comment, put very nicely, disappeared. I wrote asking if they are deleting negative comments and they said they had not deleted anything. Well, then, my message that was there when I checked back several times to see what others were saying, just magically disappeared then. A few other negative comments disappeared too. Message count was over 30, when I saw mine was gone the message count was down to 24. Must be Gremlins. :)

LOVE it!

After seeing Feronix's work, maybe a company could offer custom colored heat sinks and connectors. :)

Z87 Classified possibly?

Isn't the Classified moniker usually reserved for the uber-high-end boards? I don't think there's
been a "Classified" 1155 board, so I doubt they would make an 1150 one (if my memories are
deceiving me, feel free to correct me). I'd guess this would be more something like a Z87 FTW.

Well, the south-bridge heatsink does say 'Classified'

Personally, I like the look of the board but I'd feel more comfortable buying a board from Asus, MSI or Gigabyte...
