Making PCI-e Power Cables

Any chance someone could link everything I need to make myself 2x 8-Pin (6+2-Pin) PCI-e power cables. Getting a 2nd 7950 and my spare PSU cables have gone missing. I know about the pin layout and stuff, I'll just replicate the layout of the current PCI-e power cables I have. I've some experience with cables as I sleeved my current ones.

I think I know what I need but it's better to be safe and ask first, I've no clue where sells all the stuff I need like pins, crimps, adapters (blocks), wire.

• Female ATX pins
• Female PCI-E 6 pin connector, or
• Female PCI-E 6+2 pin connector if you want a bit more flexibility for switching GPUs in the future, or
• Female PCI-E 8 pin connector
• 16 AWG wire of one sort or the other
• original Molex pin extractor (accept no substitute, trust me on that)
• cimping tool
• and your choice of sleeving/heatshrink etc.

This is what I would buy I think. For making extensions instead of cables, you would
of course need the male equivalents of those connectors and pins as well. But for
just making cables there's no need for the male parts, you're probably just going to
need to re-use the connectors on your PSU side (if they're modular), that's why the
pin extractor tool.

You don't have to get everything from Lutro0's store of course, there are alternatives.

I have seen the following recommended as well, though I've not yet bought anything

I don't have that much free time. :lol:

Seriously though, an M8 might actually be possible, but SMH10's are a bit too rare
I think for this to be realistic. Your best bet would probably be OCN's trading section,
quite a few CL cases seem to have changed hands there from what I've read.
