So I cleaned out my PC today and here is the issue. I tried booting my computer and it had a loud beep sound, the issue was me forgetting to connect the 6 pin to my 8800. I connect the 6 pin but then the PC doesn't boot...no lights...no nothing.I know power is going to the mobo because the green LED is on. Any solutions?

Try disconnecting the power to the motherboard, waiting for the capacitors to discharge and then trying again. I had a similar things, so it might be worth a shot.

Hey, I tried that. No go. Nothing happens when I hit the power button, but like I said when I disconnect the 6 pin from the 8800, everything turns on. Fans start spinning etc, but it beeps incredibly loudly.

Please help! Thank you.

Its the 8800 beeping telling you about the power dude, thats all.

Clear the bios.

if not try one stick of ram, if not try the other stick of ram.

if still no go after trying the above FULLY then post back

Ok so this problem has recently come up and went away for a bit, now it's back. So my issue is the following:

Pretty much, whenever I have the nvidia drivers installed for my 8800, it starts off OK but slowly stability declines to the point where I cant boot unless going into safe mode. Also when I boot my computer, there's blue/green/red lines going vertically down the left portion of the boot screen (the asus boot screen, part that shows "P5K"). I really have no idea what to do and it's incredibly frustrating. I'm running Win Vista Ultimate 32 bit.

Thank you so much!

If its the boot screen where you can select 'press delete for bios' then as the great Pyr0 will tell you - the drivers have not been loaded yet - you have card problems.

In safe mode your card will be running at lower clocks and probaby lower voltages due to the lack of drivers, so in short its 99% chance if a fresh install and drivers does not work you need to RMA / replace your gpu :(
