I think someone needs to chill out and recognise that this is an open forum where people are allowed their own opinions.

Also realise that whilst we want the language to remain reasonable, people can put things how they want and indeed be as mature or immature as they wish as long as they are not openly flaming someone or abusing other forum members.

Last thing I’m going to say.....as I am getting too serious.

You have just contradicted yourself, you say people are allowed there own opinions (which I agree with). You then say "as long as they are not openly flaming someone or abusing other forum members." the fact that referring to something that you think is shit/hate/despise as "gay" is a blatant dig at gays in this world. This is a computer forum, why do we want to hear people refer a bad product as being "gay" can’t we just say shit.

oc3d isn’t really going to take of if the reviewers start to say things are "gay" if manufacturers read this forum, which I’m sure they will when deciding whether to send out a sample to oc3d and read comments like "o that’s gay" you think there going to send them out.

I know I sound serious; I just don’t want to hear people demoralising a part of the human race. If you think a product is "below par" use other means of expressing yourself that isn’t going to offend other people.

Rant finally over, won’t mention anything else.

Lets calm this down a bit and get back on the subject of the thread shall we.

IMO its common knowledge that the word 'gay' can be used to describe an object that is in someway inferior. Its possible that this may have originated from homophobia, but thats neither here nor there.

The forum is an open place for people to put their opinions forward even if you believe them to be childish.

OC3D reviews will be written by professional reviewers in politically correct language, however what comments people post about the reviews will be up to them (within reason).
