Major Comp Problem - Can't Install Drivers

wel scan did come through for me, dispatched it yesterday so should receive money. only problem is that nobody will be in, so may have to wait til saturday to collect.

Hrmm tripple might be on to something with the BIOS. You should try downloading / creating your own BIOS and see if that helps?

No clue, just a suggestion... Why would my top video card decide to stop working correctly after changing the ram? It's just one of those mysteries, lol.
 
It could of come corupted, for any reason that solid state memory does. Like a voltage spike? Or it may have just been dodgy from the start.

My 6600GT died about about 9 monts for no apparent reason, and was preventing the PC from booting. Took two weeks to get a new one from XFX.

The 6600gt's do have a nasty habit of dying. The majority of cases have been put down to heat.
 
Mine was oc'd a bit with the stock cooler, but there was no indication of overheating, I think some of the power compents burned itself out, seen as it was stoping the pc from powering up.

Any way, Dav0s card was still working, tecnicaly.
 
got new drive today, reformatted, same problem

its hardware, first port of call being gfx card. I'll contact XFX now and see what I can do. tempted to buy a 6200 in the meantime but we will see.

That sucks ass matr, sorry to hear the vid card is fucked. U hadn't made any hard mods to the card had u?

XFX should take care of u.
 
As said on MSN, I used the e-note system as i'm far to stingy for 60p a min. Its really disapointing when companys try to rip you off like that.
 
problem wasnt gfx crd, while my 6600gt is on rma im using a 6200 and still got problem. ive reset cmos, taken out pci devices, i am at a complete loss. only thing i can think of is to replace motherboard.

unfortunately...i dont have the money for that atm.

in winflash, i cant tick the box thats says "pnp area". there is sme fucking wierd irq/pnp error going on, can u make any sense of it?
 
Well firstly I'd say there shouldn't be an IRQ problem, you could try to resovle it, or it could be that the board is buggered.

You could also try flashing from dos, if you have a floppy drive.
 
I have a boot cd with DFI bios's on there , i ll upload it in a minute , you can flash your motherboard with this. Covers Ultra D , SLI-DR, infinity range. Each has its own section so its very easy ... Uploading now.
