Mach II can cause OC problems?

Shadow of chaos

I'm having problems with my memory overclocking under my prommy rig, i have tried 3 sets of G skill memory now and they all wont let me run at 275Mhz, i have tried loads of different timings offered by other people.. Different bioses etc.. Still fails memtest, or fails prime95.

So what can it be? is it worth trying air cooling to see if it solves my problem? because it is getting extremely annoying.

if anyone here knows please reply.

I know send me the gskill looool

Ok we need your mobo bios and settings to be able to help what voltage are you pumping through the gskill what chips are on it ie 0440 etc what psu you running and what cpu have you got

If you are running the 3500 clawhammer it could be thats the problem??

Or if you're using a San Diego core it doesn't like high HTT in the cold. It gets bad below -85C but it's still noticable that for Mav, Scorchio and I that under phase our fx55s/57 don't go much over 300HTT.

i am not sure, but i think the chips i have are 447 or is it 047?.. i sent them back to G skill for testing.

The first set just gave errors in memtest at 275mhz, so did the replacement i got from the RMA.

my ram voltage i have tried 2.7-2.8.. Settings

Bios - range of beta, to official.. even reccomended ones for ocing.

Fans directed right over the sticks.. for added stability.

Ive tried shedloads of settings, they all seem to give the same problem though.

So am i to try air cooling when overclocking the FSB? or is it the cpu?

ive posted over at DFI street before and nobody seems to help.

Ive got a spare 3500+ winchester, the reason i got the clawhammer is because the winchester has that damn coldbug.. So if i try air cooling, i could.. try the winny.

Oh btw.. the memory i sent back for testing, i should have news of soon.. and get it back (hopefuly) by next week.. it is G skill pc4400LE, my first set that got lost were pc4800LA.
