Hellooo. so, this has been racking my brain as of late, Delidded a 3570k, and on one of my rigs, i cant get it to post, like... at all... thinig is, when i stick it in another system, it works fine... great actually, oh shes so cool now xD. can get it to 4.5 at 1.245 volts, highest temp is right at 70... but that aside... I seem to be having an EMI issue, CLR CMOS hasnt resolved it on an MSI GD-80, im getting an LED POST at 55 (Early Memory Initialization) ive swapped everything, ram kits i have a 3470 that works fine. The Delidded 3570k works fine on an HD4, tried numerous ram kits, different ratings... is it the IMC on that chip maybe? so heres the general spec layout on my main rig im trying to get this runnin on.

Msi Z77 GD-80, Delidded 3570k (Cpu in question)... 16 gb's Ripjaws X 1600mhz kit(Does 2133 on that cpu at 1.65 volts 9 11 11 32)... 2 4gb 760's... Swiftech H320 in push pull... 240gb Kingston HyperX... Various HDD's... 1000W EVGA Platinum Psu, Loads of Fans... G Skill Turbulence II, Bitfenix Shinobi XL, Various Bits n bobs...

Now that cpu runs fine in my other bits of 1155 kit... right now its doing fine in a Gigabyte HD4 (Not exactly an overclocking board) Running 8 gb's Ripjaws x 1600mhz... 750w EVGA Gold Psu, a 660ti, 240gb Kingston HyperX, Various HDD's Various Bits n Bobs... runs fine...

This has confused me... i wanna push this chip... not to upset if it dies, but i know i can push it further now ive tamed the heat output... Any ideas as to how i can Bypass this EMI issue... furthermore... am i correct in assuming i may have damaged the IMC? im not sure with this one... weird issue, any thoughts are appreciated, thanks for your time and take care.

Take the cmos battery out for 60 minutes and try it again to make sure the BIOS is 100% cleared - all the hardware swapping has probably fudged it.

oh wow... Sir Tiny Tom himself, a personal hero... ill take this moment to say thankyou for doing wot you do, watch your videos on a daily basis... thanks for the advice man, ill see if that clears it up, take care Tom, n keep at it. ^.^

Sir TTL? When did you receive the knighthood Tom?

As TTL stated do the manual CMOS clearance for 60 mins.
