mach 2 gt r507 probs

got my mach installed on my x24800 but having some troubles. as soon as i plug a power lead into the back of the mach it starts running with red and both orange lights on. the display reads "boot loading waiting" all the time. managed to get pc running by pressing the on switch on my dfi mobo power button on case dosent start it. in windows the display says boot loading 0x000 ok . if i open the mach software it reads the cpu speed but then says at bottom lost connection retrying , shutting pc off the mach carries on running until i remove the power lead. also getting condensation build up around the black plastic that the evap head is in it starts were the braiding/heatshrink attaches to the evap head and spreads across it. also a little bit showing on the motherboard.

Welcome to the forums.

I think your firmware is probably corrupted.

Since you can get to Windows can you try updating the firmware to the latest version using the bootloader?

will do. bit apprehensive about the condensation though. is the seal string on its own enough to cope with it.. as ive mounted twice and it keeps forming on the black plastic :(

So long as it's sealed so no moisture can get inside the front/backplate it's ok. Water condensing on the actual plastic won't do any harm unless there's enough to drip down onto the motherboard. You might want to up ur cpu voltage so that it's a bit warmer though because R507 units are very powerful.

The condensation is due to the heater elements not functioning. Do not worry, this happened to me and they are controlled by the firmware! Flashing the firmware should resolve the problem. I believe a dodgy USB connection can also cause similar difficulties (so check the wire config also!)

ok ill flash the firmware and hope it helps. think its all dried out by now. also its really hot and humid in my house for the last few days.. like really uncomfortably hot , would that contribute to the condensation???

Yes - if the heaters aren't functioning. When the firmware's working though the cold area where condensation might form will be insulated and the area around it will be heated so no condensation will form.

Hi mate welcome to the forums....

As for the unit lol was 100% fine when it left me ffs lol anyways just update the firmware it must have become corrupt when the plug has been pulled in and out that will do it but flash the firmware an it should be fine you may even be able to flash it using a laptop or spare pc

yep the firmware flash solved it and cured the condensation so obviously the heaters werent running when the firmware was corrupt. cheers fatty nice little unit this one. anyone know why when i set fans to turbo in the control center they go back to normal if i close it? or reboot

Uninstall control center then re install it should fix that problem if not uninstall then disconnect the proms usb then reconnect and re install

Thats what I had to do and it worked fine - in saying that I have had to re-boot the firmware twice since - but that had something to do with the dodgy DFI's I had!!
