Mac Book Pro Question

If your going to be building him a gaming pc, but he still wants to be able to use osx for mac prgrams (logic etc) then head to tonymac and choose parts from there.

i have built my system so i can dual boot and all the gear is brilliant. check my sig to see what i run, its all osx compatible.

No, he doesn't want OSX at all anymore. He doesn't want a Mac anymore period. That's just all he has that could play his games at the moment.
