M-ATX case suggestions

Permafrost

Compo Whore
hi guys and girls, as some of you know i stripped down my rig as my mobo is starting to see the light at the end of the silicon tunnel :( so i'm rebuilding my pc i've decided to go to a smaller form factor, M-ATX but for the first time in a long time it's not a custom loop but going to be an air cooled system

what i'm looking for in a case is a horizontal motherboard or rotated so the i/o is at the top.

any recommendations?

build log coming soon.. maybe, i'm not sure if it's worth it to do a basic build log... :D

Only thing I can think of horizontal is the Corsair 240.

But with it Horizontal Im back to wondering wtf you bothered looking for a smaller case

I think you'll be hard pressed to find matx cases. Other than the Raven and the Fortress by Silverstone the only other 90 degree mounting i can think of is the InWin D frame

it's why i'm on the forum asking around, the only other option i can think of is the CaseLabs Bullet BH4 and there on amazon for £189.99

If it was me spending my own money it would be the Define C every time.

If they had a white one Id use the full ATX one for my personal desk rig too....

i did see all of them dude, the only one that caught my eye was the Aerocool DS as a temp case. after the issues i had before with TT over a psu that almost took out my rig a long time ago i'll never buy or build using any of there stuff.

Yeah figured you would have, I was just doing some searching and thought I'd post what I found.

I've never used anything Tt so haven't had any bad experience myself, but heard enough to know I won't personally ever use them. It was only added since it fit the requirement of mATX and horizontal mobo.

save your self some time and money and don't bother with TT. as for the case i did look at what scan and overclockers had in stock but till i find something that stands out i'll just be using my air 540... yeah it's going to look stupid but it'll be ok for now

EDIT: i have been looking at Parvum s2.0 case and thinking of asking if they can do a horizontally or rotated top i/o one off..

The Raven is tacky as hell. Brilliantly designed, but the outside is just literally raw ABS plastic.

What you want is the Fortress. Same layout, same internal design, just made out of better materials.

Do note though, you better be bloody good at cable management and don't even go there if your PSU is not modular. I had to cut looms off of mine as there was nowhere to hide them..

Get it built though? the cooling on air is simply unmatched. It's a wind tunnel with two 180mm pennies in the bottom.
