1st off.. I had typed out a huge post lol. and some how firefox closed. I really wish we had a save draft feature..
ANY way
i think what i was saying went some thing like this.
Many thanks to Damien C "who is a nice chap irl btw" Thanks to him i now have the 900d case set up. I am using a 480 xspc rad "which he gave me" in the top.
A 360 xspc rad in the bottom (that he also gave me) AND i managed to squeeze in one of my 240's
I Had planned on taking pictures as i assembled it yesterday, but the wife took the munchkin out so she did not destroy it as i was working on it, she also took the camera with her.
I was left with only a old logitech web cam. which i did take a few pics with But they are terrible I will add them later on though "they are on the server system downstairs"
The bottom mounting of the rads is not perfect, and i suspect there may be a TINY leak where the 2 rads connect (i hear the occasional squeek sound)
This is entirely down to the position of the rads. But is easily rectified with a couple of 90 degree angle joins. (i will be using angle joins you screw barbs in to rather than rotary fittings as i don't trust rotary ones)
The set up goes:
2bay res> pump attached via long tube>240>360>GPU>480>CPU>long tube back to res
the reason for the long tubes is because the alpha cool res has to slide out for filling so i have to give it some wiggle room.
I went GPU to 480 rather than GPU>CPU>480 because it gave me a nice straight tube from the GPU to the rad, and it makes it look a lot cleaner.
The fans on the 360 are a bit of a miss match im afraid, they were the only ones i could find in a box. But will get replaced soon.
Also the 240 and 360 are running on 12v "you wouldn't believe how loud that its"
This is also running a 100% pull configuration through out. push pull would just be over kill with the amount of rad space there is.
I have ordered some fan splitters, and a 4 way 5.2 bay fan controller,
The fan controller should be able to power 3 fans off a single connector.
So it will go channel 1 and 2 control the 480 fans "2 fans per channel" Channel 3 controls all 3 on the 360, and channel 4 will do the fans on the 240.
The lighting i had for the Haf 922 when transplanted in to the 900d simply does not work at all.
I am thinking i will get a white cold cathode or Led strips and mount it in the bottom between the 2 rads.
As i have ordered the elbow fittings, I will be draining the loop when they arrive.
I will make sure that the camera is here when that happens.
Again Many thanks to Damien C.
Im really sorry we were only able to have a quick chat when i popped round. Would have been nice if it was longer.
