Hello everyone,
This is my first build so go easy on me
Last night when I removed my motherboard from the case I felt the northbridge heatsink move, "I was holding it to pick up the board." I thought it would be ok since there isn’t anything really heavy on it, just three memory modules and the cpu. I instantly assumed I would have to remove the heatsink and reapply thermal past to the chipset but after reading through some other forums and finding some posts where this has happened to other people, it looks like it might be ok? It’s not really loose I guess, I haven’t picked it up by the heatsink again but applying some pressure doesn’t cause it to move. I'm still unable to boot the system; I haven't gotten my graphics card yet, so if it would cause a problem I won’t even be able to know for sure for another week or two.
