Looking to down size my desktop...

Looking for ideas to help me down size my desktop system. I may upgrade some bits if required. Trying to keep costs low as possible.

Existing:
  • Case: CM 690 II Advanced B/W
  • CPU: i5 2500k Stock
  • RAM: 16gb HyperX Grey
  • Board: Z77x D3H
  • Cooler: Noctua DH-14
  • GFX: Gigabyte 580 SoC
  • Audio: Xonar DG
  • PSU: OCZ ZX 850w
  • Storage: 3x SSDs, 1x Samsung 4tb, BluRay RW

Upgrading:
  • Case - Down size to smaller than what I got now.
  • GFX card - not sure whether to keep nVidia 3D, I rarely use it. I may get a retail Oculus Rift.
  • Motherboard - down size to micro ATX (for smaller case too)
  • Soundcard - Its a Asus DG PCI. So may not be compatible with new board
  • CPU - maybe, if there is a sufficient processing increase
  • Cooler - May move from the DH14 to an AIO water, depending on new case space
  • PSU - To a more reliable 650w modular

I was able to downsize my case only replacing rads from the Phanteks Enthoo Primo to the Corsair Air540 without losing any parts outside the rad changes. And I love it. The smallness of the Air540 helped alot but I still get man that thing is freak huge comments lol.

How about going with the Aerocool DS:

If you wish to keep your soundcard, this is the only MB I found:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/P8Z77-M-Mot...=UTF8&qid=1396457810&sr=8-8&keywords=p8z77-m-

Your NH-D14 should fit in this config, but it will be a tight fit with the GPU

If you want another MB you could try selling your soundcard and buing the pci-e Version its not that much:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Express-Nor...UTF8&qid=1396455395&sr=8-1&keywords=xonar+dgx

You can have a look here for MB compability:

For the PSU I would suggest:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Be-Quiet-E9-CM-580W-Straight-Power/dp/B005LUXLUU/ref=pd_cp_computers_1

or the 480W Version which I have. I am very happy with the PSU and even the 480w one has more than enought power for a single GPU system. I currently run a 3570k @4.4 and a 290x@1100 off it.
