Hey guys, thinking of going crossfire soon. anyone know a decent priced motherboard that can support this? or maybe both sli/crossfire capable motherboards? within the region of £100-£120? Pushing my luck here lol! + DDR2 capable

Pref with 2x 16x PCIE slots, if not any performance loss using one 16x and 1 8x PCIE slots in crossfire?

cheers for your help. :worship:

no 775 board supports both sli and crossfire, so you can either go for a x48,x38 or p45

for p45 your going too get 8x,8x but there pci-e 2.0 so its still alot of bandwidth

for x38 you should get full x16,x16

for x48 you should get full x16,x16

for p45 i advise this BIOSTAR TPower I45 £101

for x38 i advise this Abit iX38 Quad-GT £114

for x48 is advise these Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6 £100

and if you want x48 DDR3 go with Foxconn BlackOps Intel X48 £80

hope this helped

That's spot on advice, I'd agree with the choices ghosthud has listed. If it were my money, I'd go with the P45 Biostar as it's a great board and you should be able to OC very well, especially if you upgrade to a 45nm 775 CPU in the future.

Wow, those Black Ops mobos have plummited in price.

Although I favor Abit's previous mobos, I'd not buy the X38 myself if ur going to clock the hell out of ur components. The pwm setup isn't the best. (unless u can handle high pitched screeching)
