logitech g5 or g7???

is that when your computer is on for the full 3 months?

It's not dependant upon whether or not your computer is on. If your computer was off and you decided to stare at a black screen for 5 hours a day and play with your mouse the batts would be draining the same amount. The battery drainage solely depends on the amount of use the mouse gets, whether the comp is on or off.

Get the G5!! Lovely braided cord l00ks good to, and really isn't an annoyance.... plus the weights system is actually not at all gimmicky......... you really can adjust it to your own preferance.... I like mine loaded up with all the weights cos it gives a solid feel, and either of these mice are really REALLY precise....

The Razor series are ace too, but as its a choice of G5 or G7, get the G5...... you'll only be replacing the batteries anyway... and it is bling!!

arggh what to do. really want a cordless mouse due to the inordinate abount of clutter here (lots of stuff, small desk) but if it really can drain batteries in a day i'm going to have to seriously reconsider.. How long do you reckon it would work in continuous 'normal' use. web browsing and the like rather then the constant shufty of gaming?

Eguy messaged me just after he ran his first battery dead after getting his G7 and I believe it was nearly 2 days of use before it died. Then again I have no clue how much gaming he did in that time period, it may not have been getting used much.

The battery life is definately sub par for a product of such high quality. I'm still jizzing over my G5, it's the best damn mouse in the world.

Yeah it takes some time to reach full power, If you use it non stop it won't last long still, 1 day of heavy gaming and 2 days of it sitting there, But you have 2 batteries so it is not a problem since it takes one second to swap, I still recommend the product!
