logitech G5 or G7???

i cant decide between these 2 mice and want some help in deciding ;)

ime looking for a good gaming mouse and one that is good for general use also.

atm the G7 is winning because its got good features and its cordless which is a good thing as the mouse cable has to travel a fair way up which means the mouse movement is not as free as it could be.

the G5 looks nice and has some pretty cool features too such as the weight modules and ive been hearing nothing but good things about them.

so all opinions and feedback is welcome to help me make the right choice. :)

lol, was mice the word you were looking for?

it basically all comes down to corded vs cordless. and also how muc you wnat to spend. not sure if the weights will help you much, i dont really mind about mouse weight.
 
the G5 and G7 are on special offer atm at ocuk so theres a few quid to be saved there.

G5=£44.59 Including VAT ,G7=£58.69 Including VAT

any G7 owners here want to share their opinion?,or maybe someone who has owned both?

I opted to go with the G5 over the G7 soley because of lazyness. I hate changing batteries, given they've made it 100% simple to change them but that doesn't mean that they couldnt die on you at a critical moment in a tourny (any smart player would put in a fresh batt before a tourny, but we're all forgetful sometimes :)).

I don't even notice the cord on my mouse, and the weight system is badass. Therefor, my personal preference is G5 > G7. Someone that hates cords would probably opt for the G7.

an opinion from a G7 owner would be nice about now ;)

the G7 is still on top due to having all/most of the features of the G5 but is cordless,the G5 is nipping at its heels tho :p

The G5 and G7 are identical in features, it's just that one is cordless the other is not.

are they?

i thought they took a button or 2 off the G7? :sleep:

so they are exactly the same except the G7 is cordless and doesnt have the adjustable weight things?

I have heard the battery life is not too great, you use both batteries in one day if your a hardcore gamer (us) ;)

i would of thought the battery would last longer than that :eek:

Yeah thats really bad. My Microsoft mouse (that is now Dav0s) lasts 3+ months on 2xAA batteries!!
