Logitech G25 and Windows 10... anyone got this working?

So.. this is driving me insane.

So, you plug G25 in, windows installs it's drivers, and it 'kind of' works as a generic wheel, turns 90 degrees in either direction, then it softlocks.

Clutch doesn't work and it's meh..

Now, I've tried installing the Logitech software for Win10 when it gets to the detection stage, the device 'disconnects' and then it comes on, the power light on it blinks a few times, and then it's off.. no comprendey. broken.

Then if you try and move it to another USB after that it does the same thing, kind of detects it, starts doing axis checks on the wheel, power light flashes and it dies.

Windows reboot is interesting, on startup it does the axis check, which almost finished, while the power light stays solid then, whenever what I assume is the logitech software loads.. the wheel stops working, light flashes and it dies.

I've repeated this several times and it breaks, every time. I've fully removed the driver files from the system, started from a non-plugged-in state and tried that, same result.

It's like the logitech software is intentionally breaking it :(

Anyone.. any clues?

i know this sounds insane, but hear me out

You know when you install the software, don't have the wheel already connected, when it runs detection then connect the wheel.

My T500 used to do the exact same thing, regardless of OS, also make sure to use a USB2 port, just another one of those stupid things that works!

Yeah that's what I thought, tried that :( Even after removing the device and their drivers from windows driver repo (as if the device had never touched the system)

Does it show in device manager, if so, uninstall the driver from there, un-plug, then try and install the Logitech software (as admin ofc).

For what it's worth, my G27 works.. :/

Yeah tried that too, it shows as a device with the yellow warning symbol, try uninstakling and trying over and it doesn't even get into the pre-logitech software state.

When I try to update drivers it says windows can't run it at this time, no matter what I do it just won't go into a state where it's detected or usable. Only when I blitz the whole lot and use the base windows generic controller driver, which is crap.

Sps, any chance you could grab me your driver files? Apparently the g25 and g27 drivers are practically the same.

I'll try import them manually and see if that kicks it in to touch, can't seem to find the files anywhere online that isn't drowning in malware

Excuse spelling, no idea why but my phone goes into retard mode in the editor for some reason

I'm using version 5.10.127 from this list if that helps?

I didn't realise I was using such an old version though.

That's actually the version that they recommend for the G25 when you go via that device.. Will try the one linked there, you never know it might actually be different. Might try the newer ones too.. see if they pick it up *doubtful*

Edit: nope same result, wheel is recognised when I first plug it in, then once detection is done, it breaks it... This is stupid. Will try the latest version of that software I guess

A mate of mine has problems with his G920 on win 10 as well, no force feedback and his wheel is constantly spazzing out. With win8.1 no problem at all.

Other software packages look like they are for the mouse n keyboard and headsets only. so no dice there either.

Any chance you can grab me your drive file SPS? I'm seriously having no luck at all here.

Thanks for sending those over dude, I tried them. Got further than before, it now kind of thinks it's a G25, however.. gives me all the wrong settings when I try to go into them, shows me the driver force ones, wrong wheel lol.. still only 90 degrees of movement either way. and the pedals no longer pickup :(

Logitech software still doesn't pick it up.

urgh.. feel like it's so close and yet so far. guess I'll wait for a reply from Logitech. Frickin annoying!!!!!!
