Hello, This tutorial will show you how to make your images smaller in size, file-wise as well as view-wise. The benifit of this is that you can share your pictures on forums, websites anywhere on the web without taking up to much space so then you post faster and others may view faster because you dont have a large picture that hogs the bandwith, enought with the chit chat first you will need a certain tool that you can make files smaller with, luckly Microsoft has a solution, PowerToys there are multiple little gadgets that make everyday living on a pc a bit easyier and we are going to start off with the immage resizer that you can get

HERE save the install to your desktop(oh and it barely takes any space on your hard drive for all those people that need to watch their HDD space:)) Now double click the Installation file and install as normal.

Here is a pic that shows you before installing the program

step1Small.jpg
yours should look similar now that you have the program installed it should look like this,

step2Small.jpg
then click "Resize Pictures" that will take you to a box that will look like this,

step3Small.jpg
from this point you want to click small and then ok. If done successfully you should get another copy and at the end there will be (Small) just like that in parenthesis and all. Your Done! Great Job, it should look just like this!

step4Small.jpg

Thank you for your time and I hope you use this method, to make the file smaller you should save it as a .jpg formatt and host it on a free hosting site such as Photobucket

Happy Computing!

Yeah but i hate extra crap installed in windows that drains resources. It all adds up in the end...just ask Jim how fast XP is without a load of crap on it!!

I just stick it in Paint and it takes me 5-10seconds!

Nice guide...very useful for n00bs or ppl not familiar with editing programs.
