Finaly got arround to get a new case, and do a prober build.
First the scary thing i came from:
The old Stacker ST-01 was build like a tank, but it's starting to show it's age + ....well, look at the picture
All the hardware has survived the trip to the new case, but res, cpu block, the fittings and hose, has been changed.
The hardware is as follows:
*i5 2500K @ 4,5GHz
*Asus Z68-V Pro
*Sapphire HD 7950 OC @ Facture default -this will be oc'ed
*8GB HyperX @ 1600MHz
*HX 620W
The cooling:
*CPU: XSPC Raystorm
*GFX: EK FC-7950 Acteal
*Pump: Laing DDC 18W with an old Alphacool acryl top
*Rad1: Thermochill PA120.3 -old version @ Noctua NF-S 1200
*Rad2: HW Labs SR-1 280 @ Stock Lian Li 140mm
*Res: EK Multioption Adv 250
*Fittings: EK 7/16 Compression
*Hose: ClearFlex 60
Now the result:
Overall i'm pleesed, but there are still some things to change when i get around to it.
*I need black alchemy cables for frontpanel, 24 pin, and the gfx. Especialy, the 24 pin is a problem. The cable is to thick, to be drawn like a want to.
*I want come Corsair AF fans for the hdd cage, and by the cpu, and some AP's for the Thermochill rad. (The noctuas are fine for pull, but not so much for push setup).
*I want some other fans for the SR-1, still don't know wich ones. -might try the Corsair AF 140's, since i'm using pull on that rad.
Did some quick testing:
The four noctuas in the front, and the two 140's in the top, are attached to the case fancontroller, wich is on low.
The rear Noctua are attached to with one of those resistors that comes with the fans.
With folding on the cpu, and Heaven running, i'm getting ~55* on the cpu, and ~48* on the gfx, after 1,5 hour. Didn't take an ambient temp, but it was aprox 22* in the room.
The cpu is about the same as before, with the fans attached to a resistor. (can't remember what V those naoctua resistors set the fans at).
