Lian-Li PC-75 Piano Black Build

Even with the rad the other way around the barbs are so long that the tubing would kink. However I could cut the barbs down so they about half the length and then I might get away with it. Had a look around but can't find any 3/8 bsp to 1/2 ones that are shorter in brass or nickel

further to that nick25, I had a look in the classifieds (when signed out, as not enough posts when signed in) and it looks as though you have the 1/4"BSP to 1/2" 45 degree ones. Would you have any 3/8" BSP ones, or as above know where I could get some? :)

Hi mate, sorry I only have straight ones suitable for the rad. The only angled ones that would sit are 90 degree ones which kill your flow a bit.

Sorry.

That's cool nick25 I'll hunt some down from somewhere

Got a few temps from my setup. Its a very cool evening so idle temps are flattering the other day they were around 31C for Cpu, 36C Chipset and 44C Gpu :-

Idle 25C Cpu and 30C Chipset and 39C Gpu

Load 44C Cpu and 41C Chipset and 48C Gpu

Pretty happy with that given that its a quiet unit with 4x80 Nexus case fans and 3X120 Silentx in the top. Also I have the chipset waterblock in the loop :D

Ah yeah, lol, thats the other thing just at stock on an FX55 at the moment. Only briefly to get an idea of the temps etc before giving it a bit of a thrashing. The graphics cards have a gentle clock up to 400/1100 though :)

Is that an FX55 clawhammer or san diego? To me I would think thats perhaps running a tad warm if theres no overclock - have you go good contact on the cpu?

Why isnt the cpu first in the loop? i would have thought it'd be more imporntant to cool than the chipset? Just most of the time ive seen it cpu first, then gfx then chipset.... just curious :)

Its a clawhammer so would run a bit warmer...the G5 was slightly twisted so I've straightened it up and tightened it down further and now its rock solid so I'll prime it later and see if it helps. There is a lot on the loop though and I have just got low CFM fans :)

Yeah that's probably best but on the DFI board the graphics cards are so close together that going to the Cpu first means I have to hop between the graphics cards and the chipset block and I think it would be too tight. I read that it doesn't make too much difference anyway with good flow. :)

Its a very nice pump, shouldn't have put it in the removable drive bay though. Creates a little bit of unnecessary vibration. Not too with the neoprene but should have put it on the floor of the case :)

Real nice piece of work you got there.

Could you turn the rad around to give you space for an optical drive?

Or I think teh easiest way would be to use compact elbows (not banjo's) before the barbs so pipe is heading toward the inside of the case itself - with that pump you have no need to worry about restrictions.

Maybe just shortening the barbs will allow for it?

I feel sure you can get a drive in there.

Cracking kit though, nice benchies too :)

Thanks Mav.

I've changed it around a bit now. The rad is at the top, then a shroud and then the fans pulling the air in. I've got a dual floppy res now so there's room for 2 optical drives (despite also having a shroud). There's also blue dye in there which looks a lot better.

I was a bit premature (as usual) with the idle temps as I hadn't really let the water reach an equlibrium. With this better set up the temps at idle (as we speak on this cool evening) are 31C CPU, 38C PWMIC, 30C Chipset and 39C for both the GPU's. Load temps would be around 52c CPU, 58 PWMIC. 49 Chipset and 50C for the GPU's. That's all at a gentle overclock of 250 x 11 with 2 x 1GB of Ballistix at 3-3-3-8. I can push the Ballistix to 275 and the CPU to around 2900 but any decent overclocks, though stable with the benches, are choppy in games and I get artifacts and so on.

I might crank it up for some 3DMark benches and so on though just to see :)

Post up some new piccies showing the current layout - sounds intersting.

Good luck with the benchies to team epuk needs you!!

looks ace and as said above loop order doesnt matter due to the pressure being equal throughout the loop anyway

all that matters is res before pump inlet and thats perfect too

loving it, really miss my pc75 water rig now :(

Thanks Bacon, i'm really pleased with the rig though I wouldn't mind getting another CPU as my FX-55 Clawhammer seems to struggle over 2900. Maybe its my settings :)

what settings ya on man? my 3000 venice does 2.85ghz on air woo woo :)

its a claw but id imagine all shud do 3ghz with relative ease?
