Lian-Li Black and orange

well i finially got my favorite case back, a Lian-Li V100b. i sold it some time ago and regretted it ever since. so i got i back from a friend today and i thought it only fitting to tear it apart and paint it up and make it look awesome. the plan so far is to paint all the inside silver parts Orange, next i will be removing 4 out of the 5 dvd drive spaces and make a custom hdd mount in its place, some cable management holes have been added in the back. i dont quite now what i am going to do for a hdd mount and am open to suggestions, this will all be cover with perforated steel so air can still pass through and you can also see it. hope you guys like it.

nice I used to have a V1000 the one with the 6 hdd bays at the bottom that had sliding mounts. I loved that case got her because of the inverted mobo mounting design allowing me to have a case on each side of my desk top and still allow me to look inside each with a glance. Cant wait to see MOAR PICS!!! But that orange looks funky prolly just pics but it reminds me of Chevy engine block orange from back in the day.

yup, thats why i got it aswell, and yes that is the chevy engine enamel that you remeber and it looks alot different in person. next pic's will be better.

yeah I know the color well lol. I used to build chevy engines for my street racer/daily driver lol 79 Old Cutlass Supreme. came stock with a chevy 305 that spun a rod at 80k miles so I replaced it with a 70' chevy truck engine that was an 01 block

4 bolt mains had her bored 40 over with 10/10 on the crank with some sweetly ported and polished heads man did she fly

Anyway that was the color I painted the engine as it looks the dawgs danglies with black and chrome accents

Did you use etch primer then normal primer over the top...?

i used filler primer over the etching primer, helps fill in the small scratches i cant see, bad eye sight and all.

paint is done, it will be assembled tomorrow morning and more pictures will be taken then, and i have to wait till Monday to put my system in it.

almost done, just have to figure out what to do for hdd mounts, i have removed the bottom cages to make way for a 240 rad and pump. so i must get something that fits in the drive bays. here is a teaser pick, still have a little work to do tomorow.

but I dont recall mine having that top vent in it. Is it something you added???

It reminds me of one of those sumptuous 70's sports cars. All black on the outside and a nice bright leather stitched interior... Very Nice!
