Hello. I need a new board for my server but i'm having a hard time finding one that doesn't cost a fortune. The Gigabyte H55M-UD2H thats in there at the moment cost me £60 a couple of years ago, but everything i've come across so far costs more than that. Does anyone know where i can find one at a reasonable price?

Requirements...

- Support i7 860 s
- At least two 8X PCIe sockets
- Boot from USB flash drive


If anyone can help that would be great. I know members from companies like Aria patrol these forums so maybe they have some old stock that isn't listed on there websites?

Anyone? Seems like nowhere stocks them anymore.

My board has developed a problem with the USB controller or something (which is a problem when the OS is on a flash drive). It no longer boots every time and a get random errors that i can only put down to some kind of read/write issues due to the controller. I've been back and forth with Gigabyte, tried unreleased BIOS's they've sent me, and it sounds like it has to be some kind of hardware issue. To RMA it is a piss-take so a new board seems the way to go.

Anyone know where i can find one for around £60? I hate the idea of paying more than i originally did for old hardware.

i think the only way you can go is the second hand route, i doubt many places will have a new board.

plenty of boards on ebay.
