LG (W2252TQ) or SAMSUNG (SM2253BW)?

Hello there peeps.

I'm in the market for a new monitor.

The two mentioned are perfect for my budget and seem to be real rivals.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Spec for both seems similar. Samsung has response of 5ms and LG 2ms.

Apart from that not much difference.

Actually another thing I noticed was that the LG has a matt finish as opposed to the Samsung but I'm not a 100% on that.

I'm inclined to go with matte finishes because they don't suffer from as much glare as glossy screens. Besides that, I think you would be happy with either. I was using an LG Flatron 19" LCD before I Got my Acer 24", and it was a good monitor.

If one is cheaper than the other, go with it.

Absolutely agree with Allargando with regards to screen finish. I`m situated at a west facing window which used to make me ole CRT unviewable without pulling the blinds, with this, no probs

Haven`t seen the LG, but I didn`t feel the Samsung was anything special.

Sure it looked good, until I switched to an Eizo.

That`s the thing with monitors, they often look tremendous - until u put another monitor next to them. So maybe the trick is to get one... and don`t let another monitor anywhere near it
