LG 34" UM65 and UM95

Has any people got any opinions, or have the luxury to see these monitors?

Both are IPS 34" 21:9 which is about 38cm(h) x 83cm(w) without stand.

The UM65 is 2560 x 1080 (link)

The UM95 is 3440 x 1440 (link)

I'm quite tempted by the UM65. It can natively act as 1:1 27" 1920 x 1080 screen centred with black bars.

I've been curious about these to mate, I'm sure Linus has done a vid on one of them, last week I think it was.

From the vid it seems friggin great, he even admits that, the ultra wide monitors didn't appeal to him, until this one, and he is going to keep it for his daily screen, I'll try and find you the link.

I'll probably have to go with the UM65 as it will be too expensive to upgrade the GFX card to power a UM95.

Yo dude, i actually have the 34" UM65 so if there's anything you want to know just ask. My experience with it so far has totally rocked.

I've been heavily heavily considering the 34UM95 after what Linus said. At precisely half way between 1440p and triple 1080p it sounds very driveable and I heard someone make a comment that out of his 108 games only 4 didn't run in 21:9. Unfortunately mid way through my upgrade I have no money for such things but when I've finished and I know where I stand I may well be investing in a 3440x1440 panel.

I suggest you guys hold fire until Dells U3415w and AOCs u3477 have been fully revealed as they could potentially be better and cheaper, they will certainly have better stands but from what I've seen the LG still has the nicest bezel and body. There may well be more manufacturers using the LG panel as well. Hopefully someone can improve on the colour reproduction and backlight uniformity, given Dells IPS experience hopefully there's will be epic.
