Ah, now then I was pricing them up at £155 from Aria PC but now looking at their site they are discontinued and they don't have any. Next best price is £184 from CCL, they have loads of stock, and that pushes the combo price up to £672. So pretty much a match to the 34" LG.

Really pleased with the replies so far guys, it's virtually neck and neck and I appreciate the points made on both sides!

So you're spending £120 on the stand. Which stand is it?

Its a triple monitor stand from Scan, for some damn reason I can't paste the link on my mobile but if you Google "scan triple monitor stand" it's the first result. Could also go for the second result as well for almost the same price, which has two legs.

To answer the question regarding extra graphics power to run a 34" 4k vs triple 1080p, the triple monitor is about 6.2 megapixels and the 34" is 5.5 megapixels so there's not a great difference in it. I'll be running them off a pair of XFX 290X cards, so plenty of welly available.

In my experience triple monitor stands are very hit and miss. I'd personally want to see it in the flesh having been used for a while to see what condition it's in.
