Leak!!!!

Yeah... wtf were u doing with Koolance gear. *SLAP!* I thought you would have known better ;) At least your steppin it up with a nice DD loop, quality products right thurr.

Yes I did have Koolance :( It was free till now pretty much and worked better than air. It will never see another one of my computers though so no worries there. I have learned my lesson.

Ouch, I deff know what it is like to loose parts, I had a fire from my tv card and it blew a sli expert, X2 4800, 2 7800GTX's, the tv card and a PCP&C 510

WOOT WOOT! Nothing is actually dead! I decided to just hook everything back up today to see if it would work for some reason and everything booted up just fine :)

Now that is pure w00tage! I wonder why it wouldn't boot for you before? Possible you still had some traces of water on your stuff that was secretly shorting it out and not letting it run. Yet not enough to make such a serious connection to fry anything.

Have you tried overclocking yet? Maybe it was a miracle and you can now overclock to 5ghz on air ;)

Oh god! I could only imagine a 5ghz 170 :) That would be insane! Wonder what kind of numbers I would pull on different benches :)

I'd cry...

id suggest you now get some de-ionised water, just in case this happens again....

waste of money, it will become ionised within several minutes of being pumped around. the people that did that oil-filled pc tried de-ionised water and it shorted out the board after 5 minutes. The solution, believe it or not, is use some jubilee clips :p

what would you recommend instead?

tap water? (not a sarcastic ques btw, a real ques)

Good thing I work on the reactors here on the boat :) FREE DI WATER!!!!!!!! The water that I am using is the purist water you will ever be able to put your hands on. Yes it would be expensive too if I didn't get it for free. There was a breakdown that someone did about a year ago on how much it costs per gallon of DI that we make here on the boat. Between maintenance and replacing all of the resin etc it runs about $145 per gallon made. So yes I am already running it but it does get ionized pretty quickly running through the system.

EDIT: Oh yeah and we make about 350k gallons of di water a day....you do the math :)

How about some of that 3m stuff you can buy that's non-conductive and has better thermal properties than water?

Yeah that would work... I talked about that fluid in one of my submersion cooling threads.
