larrys rig - my first rig

Hello all
thought you guys might lie a look at my first attempt at making a rig. I know its not the nicest or most powerful or neatly built rig but its mine and i like it well most of it the stock cooling annoys me a lot. that's why my first upgrade to this rig is sooner or later going to be a h105 but since I'm a poor uni student and over here in Australia the damn thing cost $160 so I will have to wait a while before I can put one in.

any way the specs are
cpu: i5 5670k
gpu: MSI Radeon R9 270X Gaming 2GB
mobo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming Motherboard
ram: Corsair Vengeance 16GB
psu: Corsair CX-750 Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply
ssd: Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB SSD Retail Box
case: Corsair Obsidian 750D Case with Window
hdd: Seagate Barracuda 2TB and an old 250gb hdd out of a laptop for steam
also in there is shockingly a cd drive and its running windows 8.1

Not bad for a first build dude. Its higher end mid range system which is usually more than what first timers get on here... Good job dude! :rock:

I like the spec "i5 - 5670k"

But off to the things i will do, turn the psu and SSD and laptop HDD around and they will look alot better.

But the rest is a good start to get into the pc world ;-)

yes i seam to have invented my own cpu wops meant to say 4670k but i guess you got that and about turning the drives and psu around the cables are just a horror to deal with an the ssd is up side down if i do that too any way thanks for the advice

Good effort matey - get that 2.5" mechanical HDD turned round so you cant see the green pcb from the inside

Tbh fella 30 mins spent on that rig could make it UBER tidy

Sure ill just go turn 2 drives around how hard can it be. 15 minutes later oh wait now the cables won't reach or work so pcb of ugly green Ness stays

It will look alot better and you will be happy on the time you use on it. I uset a hour on my case. Just to get it tidy and there is still some things i will like to do whit it

You only need 30 min, i use alot more time on cables. You have maked me OCD on that part now

The thing we mean is, turn the SSD around and have the top whit the "Samsung logo" in the case. So when people look into it, they know you have some good hardware

yes i know the only problem with doing that is then the samsung is upside down and look kinda silly
