Larkooler Extreme Performance Universal G1/4"

I was looking at some kits for liquid cooling that werent too expensive and I was wondering what you guys think of this. DOes this look trustable for 3 years? what are some precautions to have least problems possible. ect ect.

Also the external RAD you can put that under cpu right? and that case for the reservoir and pump appear to be in the 2 empty dvd slots I assume?

What do you guys think? is it worth it?

this one http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...ter_Cooling_Kit_Hot_Item.html?tl=c321s1310b49

cool.

I was always paranoid of liquid cooling and the thing is if it leaks and kills my mobo/cpu its not HUGE problem (however very sad) as long as my hardrives are still in tact. however i have a bro and dad that highly reccomend I dont get a liquid cooled pc (the reason im paranoid) and if it were to leak my parents would be very disapointed. so do you think I should get this kit?

one of the reviews said to get different tubing is that a good idea?

How do you test it outside of the system? I have to put it into my pc with no liquid to measure and cut, then I have to take it out of the pc put liquid in it and test it overnight and then empty it and put it back in the pc and fill it up again?

also I dont think i can hold a radiator that big in my thermaltake armor a90 is there a good way to make it external? or do you reccomend I get a new case. I just got this one and I really like what it looks like from the outside.

thats a better one yes. You leak test it inside the case as installed but you only power on the water cooling system. Nothing plugged into the mobo power wise. This way if there is a leak theres no short. Simply clean up the mess and let all ur components THOROUGHLY DRY before powering it up. This is of course after fixing leak and making sure its not leaking still. You power it up by jumping the green and any black wire on the psu 24pin connector.

check out these vids if'n ya havent already

Thank you but nobody answered 2 of my questions yet.

1. how do i put that rad outside of the case because I cannot fit it inside (any stand or anything to get).

2. I remember something had the be higher than the cpu is it ok if the radiator is lower than the computer sitting on a table with tubes going in? i think it was the reservoir that had to be on top. at least when you are filling 'er up. correct?

there are many choices if you want to set up a Rad outside of the case. after checking some pictures out it looks like they have some starting points for lines, so you would have to drill the holes out and affix some rubber grommets to them. Then you could run the hoses out of the case and mount the rad possibly on the back of the case. If you wanted to go a different route you could get an external radiator setup that is separate from the system. The external radiators with quick disconnects can be a very handy item.

Seems my plan is to sell my case (too small with no cable management anyways though I LOVE the looks just wish they did a little better) to a friend for the full price i paid, and get (so far this is the case I think has the best features) a HAF X (i would love the nvidia colors but i have amd so i think it would be weird so ill just save 20$ and get the regular black/red). SO basically i will have a haf X and I can put the rad inside the top.

This cooler seems great and looks like I will be getting the red non-conductive coolant that is black light sensetive from frozencpu.com and then the IandH Dead-Water Copper Sulfate Biocidal PC Coolant Additive. I will also get some red kink coils (mostly for looks) and a couple of black cold cathodes.

Sound good?

yeah that should work out much better. Make sure to change you coolant at regular intervals. that will keep your system running clean and smooth.

If you buy the haf x,3 additional 120mm for pull in top af the case should be better than 2x220mm pulling.

And a fancontroller is handy when running multiple fans.3 or 4 way fansplittercable is also good for adjustment .

Ok when looking at the page on the frozencpu website it says "coolant" and "H20 additives"

if i got this coolant http://www.frozencpu.com/products/6...Cooling_Fluid_-_1000_ml_-_UV_Red_F1-0002.html would I need to get an additive? such as this http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...per_Sulfate_Biocidal_PC_Coolant_Additive.html ?

btw i might be able to get my hands on a lian li case/ rather old but my brother has it and I used to have my pc in it until I got this case but now its just sitting in his room again. I can get a new top and put the tripple rad on top. whatchya think? should I go Classy and make the liquid blue or something, or should I go hardcore beast and make its a red black theme? i like classy but idk his case is missing some key features that newer cases have, and i like the features of the haf x.

I have the same coolant and i do run the additive. I'm not sure if it is really necessary, but I don't want to take the chance of anything growing in my cooling system. would make me very unhappy.

non conductivity coolant. While I found people saying "it leaked and I was fine" I am also finding people that are saying "it leaked and I am not fine"

it seems these non conductive coolants are indeed just distilled water with color and as with all distilled water it will eventually get conductive and it isnt a slow process either. seems with just a small spill if you notice it fast its fine but if im gaming and I dont notice whats going on inside what do I do? live with a broken mobo/cpu?

well, hopefully you catch it in time. if not... that is one of the risks you run with a liquid cooling setup. make sure to take your time with everything and do it right. make sure you run the cooling system for 24 hours to leak check it, before you put any power to the motherboard. it is a risk, but if you do things right and pay attention to what you are doing, you will have a good setup.

Seems the dye in feser (and everyone else) causes build

Up so I will probably get 100% clear pure distiller water (from feser) and then use an additive and maybe get the dye separate and put a very

Very small amount just enough to get the glow effect. I dot want to take any chances because my dad and bro are against liquid cooling and if I have leak that does damage I really don't want anyone to say I told you so. So far I haven't seen any reviews less than four stars with this rasa kit and if I am carefull I should be fine.

Thanks for the help. Upon previous postings I have wanted an air cooler but seeing this rasa i have fallen in love. All your help was greatly appreciated and seeing the kit it comes with a jumper for the psu to start without the mobo

Ok so I made a list on their site of everything to get.

Rather than worry a bout colors I just decided to get colored tube from primochill no wory about gunk.

Rasa 740 rs360

feser ultra pure water

feser corrosion blocker

PrimoChill PrimoFlex PRO LRT Tubing 7/16"ID 5/8" OD with 3/32" Wall - UV Red 8 feet of this stuff

PrimoChill Anti-Kink Coils - 5/8 OD" Tubing - UV Red 80 inches of this stuff.

and then a uv light on top of case (near the pipes and cpu) and then a red light on bottom (to add to the red effect) and I will get another 223mm fan on top of the hafx i belive.

sounds good eh?

Actually ill just go out on a limb and go for an obsidian 800d. The thing is better for liquid cooling with a triple rad on top and it has more optical slots becasue I wanted my dvd drive and bluray burner and my dual res in there the haf x only has 4 slots and the top one is blocked this one has 5 (or was it 6) so even though to top is blocked I still have enough for what I wanted. Also i like full side windows. and maybe I can go for the blue theme again unless I just stick with red and black and base if off the motherboard. this mobo is kinda neat though http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130294

idk i have a day to think what case to get, obsidian seems to be good though.
