Laptop drive on pc

Hi there,

Does anyone know of a way of getting this connected to my pc?

I would prefer to pata on the pc, although i could spare a sata port at the expense of an 80gb HDD

You'll need a simple atapi to ide convertor. You might also need a laptop ide to normal ide.

Yep, all you need is a conversion cable. Laptop HDDs have the power and data in one, where as PCs do not.

It will convert the laptop optical drive into a normal ide so you can plug it straight on your motherboard.
