Lapping 3570K after delid ?

So turns out the delid went well, I'll have my clu tomorrow.
Is there any point in lapping the ihs ? Now that it's off it's easy to do anyway and if that gives me another 2-3°C i'm interested in doing it.

I'd personally say it isn't worth the effort on Ivy.

Your temps will be fine if you stay under 1.3v anyway assuming you're cooling is alright (and if you've delidded it I'm sure it is), and if you go much over 1.3v you'll end up degrading the chip so to me it isn't worth the effort.

To be honest, knowing that now, I'm not sure if I'd bother delidding Ivy again myself.

I've read a 32°c improvement on another forum. Ihs should be only 20, I don't plan on using the chip for long, but i've read up to 1.375 is doable 24/7

I wouldn't risk it.

I had mine at 1.35v and after 2 weeks noticed degradation at the lower end.

For what it's worth, I see no point in pushing beyond 1.3v.
