LAING Pump power molex & 3 pin

In THEORY this is a simple job (But ME and Electrickery don't mix)

I Got a Laing DDC 12V ULTRA Pump which has these connectors

I Would like to connect these so only One connection is needed preferably direct to motherboard

IS it as simple as i think Providing the 12v, ground and sensor are connected correctly i'm not too bad at re-doing connections

In theory yes, but im not sure if the headers on a mobo will take the current draw of a pump.

Exactly what DDC is it? a DDC+1 Ultra @ 18Watt will pull 1.5Amps

Check your manual, it should say the max draw they can take, although I doubt they will be up to it

yea i'll give XMS a poke when hes free about the edit thing

yea have a flick through it although i very much doubt it will take 1.5A, max ive known is around 0.8, modern boards might have stepped that up a bit though.

I Think it may be a conclusive NO as i posted same Question on WizD got a negative on there too also, Typical, only AFTER i posted i found on other forums ppl saying its a NO Oh well.

It's a no. That's specifically why the DDC doesn't come with it all wired to one connector from the factory...

It can work but not directly with the mainboard

The only possibility for using a laing pump with a 3 pin connector is to connect it to a T-Balancer miniNG with Dual Mode
