Laing D5 missing speedswitch

So I recently bought watercooling parts and have recieved and inspected most of it, not tested however.

However it seems the D5 pump is missing the red circle speed switch on top of pump, instead there is a hole and in the hole there is a white square with what looks like a red pointer.

so my hope is that the switch has with time had to been removed and that the speed is adjustable with a long thin screwdriver?

You use something flat to adjust it. It comes like that i think. Mine did anyways

pics please they do make 2 models one with speed control and one without.

To the naked eye it looks like a red arrow, suggesting the pump is at level 2.

The camera(low quality) however suggests it's a cross?

yeah that does look like the adjustable model. I'd carefully use a small philips driver and rotate it all the way left then right (or reverse) you should be able to feel the stops at both ends and then you'll know what speed its at and should be able to determine the markings for future changes.

my pump looks differnet. yours looks like th eplastic thingy is missing. Might be an older model or something.

The seller answered that the red thing had been glued so he ended up opening pump and removing it completely.

He says a thin screwdriver will adjust it however now it is on 5 and according him with foam pad it is completely silent so no point in running anything but maximum 5.

I havent installed mine yet (waiting on more parts) but imho slower speed would probably help with initial filling and bleeding system. then find the right speed for max cooling after that. IIRC most dont run at 5 setting
